As the Surakari descend on the planet of Silex Four, Sargentic Abbi-Sian, her squad, and a Krylan named Zyrecon must find a way to survive against the overwhelming invaders.
As the first commercial short story set in the Legends of Kalidasia Universe, Silex Road presents a view of the battlefield that the tabletop game does not: Ground Combat. Explore the weapons and tactics of both of the Surakari and Heragul, get a first look at the cryptic Krylan, and discover that every planet holds secrets.
Legends of Kalidasia is available on The Amazon Kindle and The Barnes and Noble Nook.
Here is a short sample from the story: “From behind the Heragul line, a reassuring rumble to the Heragul muffled the plasma fire and screams. Before the Hunter fighters even raced into view, Gatling gun reports reverberated through the canyon. Hundreds of glowing orange shells streaked towards the remaining Surakari drop ship. The drop ship’s hover evolved to a drunken swagger as armor chunks ripped from the hull. Flames scorched silver plating to a charred black. Explosions tore apart the internals of the engine. Shards of razor sharp metal cut into the ground, spitting dust and dirt into the sky. With its nose pointed to the sky, the back of the drop ship fought against the rocky hard ground. Crumpling metal scraped into the desert propping up the nose of the craft until gravity won out, smashing the cockpit into the dirt. The Heragul Hunters then strafed the Surakari infantry, fracturing boulders and digging crevices.”
