In a recent Youtbue video on my other channel, The Tabletop Battlefield I posted a behind the scenes tutorial for the Legends of Kalidasia Fractured Empire Trailer.
In this tutorial, I sued Hitfilm Pro to add the weapon effects to a scene where Colayth Guard Dryden Heavy Destroyers attack with their main weapons.

In the very near future, Kalidasia Media Productions will be debuting the latest product in the Legends of Kalidasia line: Pre-Painted Asteroid Sets. Each set will contain six asteroids painted in shades of grey and six acrylic flight stands for the asteroids. The asteroids measure about 1″ to 2.5″ inches in length and are made of durable plaster. Expected availability is early to mid June and pricing will be announced then.

In addition to a selection of advanced rules, the Admiral Rules Pack will also introduce four new warships. Two of the warships will be variants on existing hulls while the other two warships will be new classes with all sorts of new rules. It’s still early in play testing, but I think my most favorite new unit will be the new Heragul Sabre Heavy Bomber.
Featuring what will certainly be a tactic changing weapon, the term Heavy Bomber is probably not an accurate title, but it sounds cool. In reality, The Sabre is a mine layer which deploys a powerful weapon called a Thermal Bomb. Mine weapons inherit some of the abilities of missile weapons, but they can’t move unless an enemy warship is nearby. When deployed in squadrons, the end result are mine fields which hinder enemy movement choices and work to box them in.. Just as a note, in the image to the right, the reactor tokens are stand ins for the Thermal Bombs, which do not have finished artwork yet.

The next planned product in the Kalidasia Universe is planned to be called the Admiral Rules Pack. It will feature several option rules to expand on the current version 1.1 ruleset.
Currently, the goals of the pack are:
The final set of rules to be included in this pack is far from final, but play testing is currently underway. Here are a few teaser pictures:

While the damage cards will be the same, Damage seems to be more clustered….

Battles will continue to be up close and personal.

I wonder what this template is for? I’ll give you a hint. It’s six inches long on each side

Hmmm….I wonder why a warship might have an arrow next to it?
