Rise of the Surakari is the first chapter of Legends of Kalidasia, the debut war game from Kalidasia Media Productions LLC. Legends of Kalidasia is a fast playing space combat game. Each player controls either a Heragul or Surakari Fleet and they challenge other players in an original, dynamic universe.
150 million years ago, the Surakari launched an attack on the Heragul Empire. In a matter of weeks, a half dozen star systems had fallen to the invaders. Now, the Minex System has come under attack. Home to over three billion Heragul, the Minex system must be defended at all costs. Rise of the Surakari begins the story of the battle for the Minex system.

Declare your allegiance to the Heragul Empire with this shirt. Featuring two Heragul frigates and a burning Surakari frigate over the moon of Tyronna Four, it proudly displays the complete motto of the Heragul Empire. In addition, the emblem of the Heragul fades into background in the corner of the image.
This shirt can be purchased from the Legends of Kalidasia Printfection Store.
It looks like I made a small non-game related typo on the first production run of the Rise of the Surakari Cards. Instead of Copyright 2010 Jason Rutherford, they were supposed to read Warship Artwork by Jason Rutherford, Copyright 2010 Kalidasia Media Productions LLC. I guess the first 100 card decks can be considered collectors items.
Also, for some unknown reason, the game has seven stat cards for the Heragul Transport. There are only supposed to four cards. Oh well. These extra stat cards do not take the place of any other stat cards.
Not too far from now, Legends of Kalidasia will be released in both printed and electronic form. For anyone who chooses to purchase the printed version, they will receive a code which can be used to download a electronic copy of the rule book for free.
The complete battle kit for the first set of Legends of Kalidasia, Rise of the Surakari, has been delivered to the printer. Currently, things are on track for an August 15th 2010 Launch of Legends of Kalidasia: Rise of the Surakari.
